It doesn’t get any easier than using a box of cake mix. I mean I love made from scratch cookies as much as anyone, but some days you just don’t have the time. This recipe cuts out a lot of the mixing and measuring you’d need to otherwise do. Simple!
How to Make Sheet Cake Cookies:
Prepare the Cookie Dough – First up you’ll need to mix together the cookie dough ingredients. It’s very simple, just some chocolate cake mix, oil, and egg. Use an electric mixer until it is well combined.
When you’ve finished mixing grab a cookie scoop and start dropping scoops of the dough onto a baking sheet. Leave at least a couple inches of space between each scoop of dough.
Finally you’ll need to chill the dough before you can begin baking. Let the dough chill for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator before moving on.
Bake – When the cake mix cookie dough has chilled you can remove the baking sheet from the fridge and place it in a pre-heated oven. It’ll take about eight minutes to bake, or until the cookies are just set. When they’ve finished remove from oven and start working on the final step: frosting!
