1. In a large pot, cover the potatoes with water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add milk and butter, then mash until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
3. For the gravy, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook until golden brown.
4. Gradually whisk in beef broth and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
Green Beans
Ingredients:
° 1 lb green beans, trimmed
° 2 tbsp olive oil
° 2 cloves garlic, minced
° Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add green beans and cook for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
3. Add green beans and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper.

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
