Tomato Basil Steak

Directions

1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Brown the steak pieces on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
2. Transfer the browned steak to the slow cooker. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth to the skillet, stirring well to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
4. Pour the tomato mixture over the steak in the slow cooker. Add the chopped basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper, stirring gently to distribute the seasonings.
5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the steak is tender and the flavors have melded beautifully.

6. Before serving, taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with extra fresh basil if desired.
