Put the tomato plant on top, covering it just a little with dirt. The calcium in the pill will kill off any blossom end rot that may have been present.
For tomatoes to thrive, there are a couple more things to keep in mind
To begin with, tomato plants thrive in full sunlight. Secondly, it’s important to water tomato plants often, particularly while they’re young. Overwatering to make up for a few days’ worth of missed watering is a certain way to cause blossom end rot. Tomatoes that appear to be wilting during the day probably aren’t getting enough water.
Do not prune too much, as this might cause problems. It is OK to remove some leaves from the plant, particularly the lower ones that have turned brown, in order to stop the spread of illness. But if you remove too many leaves from your tomatoes, they will lose some of their sweetness and flavor.
