Ingredients for Snickers apple salad recipe.

Apples – I’m using Granny Smith apples because they are tart and pair well with the sweetness in the Snickers bars.

Snickers Candy Bars – These classic and always popular chocolate bars are my favorite! I’m starting with full sized Snickers bars and chopping those up, but the smaller fun sized would work too if you have enough.

Instant Vanilla Pudding – You’ll need one package of this mix. Be sure to get instant and not cook and serve. We like vanilla, but the cheesecake flavor is also tasty.

Milk – To prepare the vanilla pudding.

Frozen Whipped Topping – You will need to thaw this first!

Optional – Try topping it off with some caramel or chocolate sauce!

What We Love About This Recipe:
If you like easy dessert recipes it doesn’t get much simpler than chopping up some candy bars and mixing them with instant pudding and whipped topping!
You can swap out the Snickers with just about any other chocolate candy bar if you want to switch things up!
Even though this is full of pudding and candy, we still serve it alongside our dinner at holiday meals. Midwesterners are a strange bunch, but we love it!

How to Make Snicker Apple Salad:

Prepare: Chop up the apples and candy bars to get started! We want bite-sized chunks.

Pudding: Whisk together the milk and vanilla pudding mix until it’s starting to set. Fold in the whipped topping.

Combine: Add in your chopped apples and chopped candy bars. Stir it all together and pop it in the fridge until you’re ready to serve!

We love that this doubles as a side dish or dessert. I mean – it’s definitely dessert, but in the Midwest we serve it with dinner?

If you want to move here, I don’t blame you.

Variations:
The great thing about this Snicker salad is that it’s so simple to prepare and just as easy to modify! The vanilla pudding mixture is a nice neutral flavor that mixes well with lots of good stuff, such as:

Turn this into a Snickers fruit salad by adding in other fresh fruits like grapes, blueberries, and strawberries!
You don’t have to limit yourself to Snickers. Just about any chocolate candy bar would work: KitKat, Milky Way, Twix, Reese’s, etc.
The Snickers have peanuts in them but if you want more of a crunchy texture you can add extra chopped nuts to the mix.
Use a different flavor of instant pudding! Cheesecake pudding is very popular!
