1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 clove garlic, minced

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Season pork chops with salt and pepper.

In an ovenproof skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high. Sear chops until golden (about 3-4 minutes per side).

Mix brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger to make a glaze.

Place a pineapple ring on each chop, drizzle with glaze.

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until internal temperature is 145°F (63°C).

Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
