almond flour – almond flour is a great way to lighten up a recipe! It is gluten-free, low in carbohydrates, and generally healthier than wheat flour.
lemon pepper seasoning – use your favorite lemon-pepper seasoning mix.
green tomatoes – sliced into 12 1/2-inch thick slices.
eggs
Salt and pepper to taste
ranch dressing
Sriracha sauce – or more if you love spice!
How To Make Fried Green Tomatoes
You will love how simple this process is from start to finish! Simply place the almond flour and lemon pepper seasoning in a small bowl and mix together. Lightly beat the eggs in a shallow bowl.
Dip the green tomato slices into the egg, coating both sides. Then dredge the tomato slices in the seasoned almond flour until well coated.
Place the breaded green tomatoes on a greased baking sheet.
Bake the tomatoes at 350ºF for 20 minutes on one side, then flip and bake for another 15-20 minutes until the tomatoes are golden brown.
While the tomatoes are cooling on the baking sheet, combine the ranch dressing and Sriracha sauce in a small bowl.
Serve the oven-friend green tomatoes warm with the spicy ranch dressing for dipping.
How to Store Leftovers
Keep the leftovers in a zip top bag or airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, place the tomatoes on a cookie sheet and bake at 350ºF for a few minutes until warm.
