Ingredient Notes:
Orange Sherbet – We’re keeping it extra easy and starting with some orange sherbet. Use any brand you like from the store!
Orange Juice – We’re going for pulp-free orange juice here. If all you have is the kind with pulp, it will work but the texture might be a bit funky. You could strain it through a fine mesh strainer.
Heavy Cream – We want rich, creamy, sweet orange and cream flavors and heavy cream is the perfect way to make it happen.
Helpful Tools:
For best results you’re going to need a couple of items to help prepare the orange creamsicle popsicles. They are:
Popsicle Sticks: You can find these online or in the grocery store.
Popsicle Mold: The popsicles will need something to freeze in so a popsicle mold is really the best tool here. Again there are some possible alternatives like ice cube trays or even disposable cups. Silicone molds are pretty cheap and handy though!
How to Make Orange Cream Popsicles:
Blend: These popsicles are pretty simple to prepare. To make the mixture you’ll just need to add all the ingredients to a blender and blend together until it is smooth!
Mold: When the orange mixture is ready pour it into each popsicle mold. Cover the mold and insert the popsicle sticks.
Freeze: To get the best results and for these orange creamsicle popsicles to fully freeze you’ll want to place them in the freezer for at least 5 hours.
Pro Creamsicle Tips:
Juice: Using pulp-free orange juice is going to give you the best texture. Freshly squeezed is great, but we usually just go for a bottle of juice from the store and keep things easy.
Removing From Mold: To easily remove the popsicles from the mold simply run it briefly under some hot water, about 20 seconds or so and the popsicles should be easily removable.
Storage: Serve these immediately or store each popsicle separately in small plastic bags in the freezer until you are ready to enjoy them!
