Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion, and Garlic

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large skillet cook bacon until crispy. Remove from skillet and discard all but 1 Tablespoon of bacon drippings. Add the oil to the pan and add onion and cook 2 minutes. Add the cabbage and the salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Let the cabbage cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Place on a plate and top with bacon.

NOTES

While bacon drippings are yummy, we prefer to have them as a back note in this dish rather than a focal point. Save the remaining drippings for another day.
