Shredded chicken and gravy in crockpot.

Ingredients

▢3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
▢2 10.5 ounce cans cream of chicken soup
▢1 packet chicken gravy mix
▢4 cloves garlic minced
▢¼ cup parsley minced
▢2 teaspoons cracked black pepper

Instructions

Add the chicken to a 5 quart slow cooker.
In a small bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, gravy mix, and garlic.
Spread the cream soup mixture over the chicken.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 5 hours.
When the chicken is cooked through, shred the meat with two forks. Stir the meat into the gravy mixture.
Add the parsley and pepper to the slow cooker and stir well to combine.
Serve chicken spooned over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Tips & Notes:

We keep this dinner extra simple by serving it over packaged mashed potatoes that you can just heat in the microwave. It’s also delicious over rice or egg noodles.
All slow cookers are different and some run hotter than others. Our newer slow cookers all cook chicken within 3 hours on high and 5 hours on low. You may need to adjust cook time. Just cook until the chicken easily shreds.
Chicken can also be served in whole pieces. Remove from the crockpot and whisk the gravy well. Serve with gravy over the top.
