Cowboy Mushrooms

Cowboy Mushrooms are white button mushrooms cooked in a flavorful compound butter made with a variety of herbs and spices for a delicious side dish or appetizer. Not only are they so good on their own, but they are also perfect for topping a steak or grilled meat. If you love mushrooms, I also have Ranch Mushrooms that you will want to try!

Ingredients & Substitutions
Mushrooms: I used white button mushrooms in this dish. As they cook, they absorb all the flavors of the cowboy butter resulting in flavorful, tender mushrooms. You could also use cremini, portobello, shiitake, or your favorite variety of mushrooms.
Cowboy Butter: Cowboy Butter is a blend of different flavors mixed into butter, turning it into a dip or spread, also known as compound butter. Herbs and spices are added to the butter, and there’s a bit of spiciness from cayenne pepper and crushed red pepper flakes. This special butter adds a delicious and zesty touch to your food, including these mushrooms!
