Blueberry Biscuits

blueberry biscuits 10-min

Ingredients

½ cup butter, chilled
3 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk
1 ½ cups frozen blueberries, do not thaw
2 additional tablespoons butter, melted.

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Slice butter into small pats and add to the dry ingredients. Use a fork or pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour mixture.
Slowly add the milk and mix until well combined, then gently fold in the blueberries.
Place the dough on a floured surface, then flatten and fold it in half a few times. Add more flour if dough is too sticky.
Roll out dough until about 1 inch thick then cut out biscuits.
Arrange biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and brush with the remaining melted butter.
Bake biscuits for 15-18 minutes or until golden.
