Leaving chargers plugged in after charging your devices might not seem like a big deal, but it can have important consequences.
Even when not in use, chargers still use a little bit of power. Using a lot of power all the time can make things get too hot and make parts inside, like capacitors, wear out faster.
In serious situations, a charger that gets too hot can start to smoke or even start a fire, especially if the voltage suddenly changes.
Also, keeping chargers plugged in can be dangerous, especially in homes with young children or pets.
